Theatre is a cornerstone of our arts-integrated approach at Kelowna Arts Academy. Every staff member and student is involved and fully invested in assuring that our annual production is as polished and professional as possible. From the costume design and fabrication, to set building and lighting, to singing and dance choreography, no detail is overlooked, and everyone’s involvement counts!

Not all of our students are passionate about acting, and that’s the beauty of theatre. A production is so much more than what happens on stage. Whether performing, designing sets, creating costumes, managing props, running lights, or working backstage, students gain real-world experience in collaboration, creative problem-solving, time management, and technical design.

Behind the curtain, they develop confidence, empathy, resilience, and the ability to communicate and think on their feet — essential life skills that extend far beyond the theatre.
