Pumpkin Patch K-5 Field Trip
Grades K - 5 will be heading out to McMillan Farms for hay rides, hot chocolate and games! All students will get their own pumpkin. Booo Ya!
Walk for Wenjack
The Walk for Wenjack is a school-wide event that honors Chanie Wenjack, a young Indigenous boy who ran away from residential school and sadly never made it home. Students walk together to learn about his story, reflect on Canada’s history, and take steps toward truth and reconciliation by showing care, respect, and a commitment to doing better together.

Professional Development Days give teachers dedicated time to grow their skills, collaborate with colleagues, and explore new strategies to support student learning. These days help ensure classrooms stay creative, engaging, and responsive to student needs.

Showcase Night - A celebration of student creativity, where gr. 6-12 families are invited to explore the artistic work , such as sets, props, make up, students have created or designed for Singing In the Rain since the beginning of the year. It’s a vibrant evening that showcases talent, growth, and the joy of learning through the arts!

Tacky Sweater Spirit Day

This is what we’ve been building toward all year—Performance Week! It’s high energy this week as students throw themselves into rehearsals, perfecting every move and line in preparation for three unforgettable days of performances. It’s their chance to shine while discovering the magic of theatre, from the spotlight on stage to the hard work behind the scenes.

Truth & Reconciliation Day (stat)
Truth and Reconciliation Day recognizes the painful legacy of residential schools and honours the survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home. It encourages all Canadians to reflect, learn, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation with Indigenous communities.

Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day, held on September 30th (but recognized on September 29th due to the statutory holiday on the 30th), honors the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and forced into Canada’s residential school system. It’s a day of remembrance, reflection, and a commitment to truth and reconciliation—symbolized by the orange shirt, which represents the loss of identity, culture, and dignity experienced by survivors.

Terry Fox Run
The Terry Fox Run honors the legacy of Terry Fox, a Canadian hero who set out to run across the country to raise money for cancer research after losing his leg to the disease. The run continues each year to support his dream of finding a cure, inspiring generations with his courage, determination, and belief in making a difference.
